A Lawyer With 42 Years’ Experience Used AI to Win $6 Million Against Meta and Google

Mark Lanier built a private AI setup using tools including ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini. He used it to study court transcripts, test his arguments and predict how different jurors could react.

He said the technology helped him complete about 30 hours of work in 10. The case involved a young woman who said Instagram and YouTube’s addictive designs harmed her mental health.

Meta and Google-owned YouTube were found negligent, although the companies are still challenging the result. Lanier didn't replace his 42 years of experience with AI. He used AI to get more value from that experience.

Think about your own job. How much time do you spend reading documents, preparing for meetings or trying to understand how a client will react? What could happen if you used AI to test your thinking before the real conversation?

Michelle Turner, a Mother of Six, Used AI to Teach Herself How to Build and Fund Her First Company

She already had healthcare experience, but she didn't have an MBA or know the startup world. She used AI to understand investor language, build her business plan and improve the pitch she gave to investors.

Her company, Here Now Health, launched in 2025 and now has 16 employees. It provides online mental-health support for children and families connected to foster care across three states.

The idea came from Turner’s own life. She and her husband fostered more than 40 children and adopted four of them. She saw how hard it was to find reliable mental-health care when children moved between homes.

AI didn't give her the idea or replace her experience, it helped her learn the business skills she was missing. Think about your own career.

Do you already understand a problem deeply but feel held back because you don't know how to build the plan, explain the numbers or pitch the idea? Could AI help you learn those parts instead of waiting years to feel qualified?
