Even If You Never Use AI, You May Still Pay for It

AI data centers could use 358.8 trillion watt-hours of electricity a year, more than every U.S. state except Texas.

That can push power companies to build more lines, substations, and energy supply, and regular people may see the cost on their electric bills.

Big Tech gets the AI profits, while everyday people may help pay the price.

AI data centers can affect electric bills, water use, land, air quality, traffic, and tax breaks.

My Diabetes Health Closes $440,000 on StartEngine

Prem Saharasnam, MD: Founder of My Diabetes Tutor

My Diabetes Health, the investment entity behind My Diabetes Tutor, an accredited telehealth diabetes education platform has closed its Regulation Crowdfunding campaign, raising $440,000 from retail investors.

StartEngine categorizes this as Crowd Validation, a signal of meaningful investor interest the company intends to use to fuel its next phase of growth.

The momentum is reflected in the platform's performance. Through the first four months of 2026, patient referrals to My Diabetes Tutor grew approximately 160% compared to January, driven by expanding provider adoption. The platform has now completed more than 40,000 virtual sessions across 10,000+ patients, delivering an average 1.6-point A1C reduction, more than double the national average for diabetes education.

The company is not currently raising capital, but welcomes inquiries from partners, health systems, and insurers. Learn more at mydiabetestutor.com or email hello@mydiabetestutor.com. Those interested in future investment opportunities should reach out at investors@mydiabetestutor.com.

Maybe Companies Still Need People More Than They Thought

AI was supposed to make work cheaper.

But reports say Uber, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Amazon are now rethinking some AI use because the bills are getting too high.

Uber reportedly burned through its entire 2026 AI budget by April from heavy use of AI coding tools and Microsoft also reportedly moved some work away from Claude Code.

If AI needs expensive computing power, constant checking, and costly tools, is it really cheaper than a skilled human?
