Looks Like Apple Maps Will Start Showing Ads This Summer
Apple will add ads to Apple Maps around summer 2026, starting in the U.S. and Canada.
Promoted businesses will appear at the top of search results based on your search and location.
Apple says it won’t track users across apps, but some worry paid results could rank above better or closer places.
Apple is doing this to grow its ad business and compete with Google Maps, which already has similar ads.
Do Tech and Biz StartUps Need Commercial Auto Insurance?
This article says tech, AI, SaaS, and other companies may need commercial auto insurance if employees drive for work, even without a fleet.
That includes trips to client meetings, co-working spaces, off-sites, recruiting events, and equipment pickups.
It also warns about employees using personal cars for work, especially in remote and hybrid jobs.
The key point is simple: one employee using one personal car for one work trip can create real business insurance risk. Read the article.
Steve Wozniak Says He Doesn’t Use AI Much And Doesn’t Believe It Can Replace Humans
Steve Wozniak, the Apple co-founder, said he doesn’t use AI much and has been disappointed a lot by it.
In a recent CNN interview, he pushed back on the idea that AI can replace people and made it clear he doesn't see it as a full replacement for human thinking.
His comments match what he said earlier this month, where he called AI a collaborative tool, not a replacement for human thinking.
Wozniak isn't saying AI is useless, he's warning people not to trust the hype that it can fully replace humans.
DoorDash Offers Emergency Gas Relief To Drivers As Prices Near $4 A Gallon
DoorDash is giving drivers temporary gas relief through April 26, 2026.
U.S. Dashers using the DoorDash Crimson card can get 10% cash back on gas, and drivers who deliver at least 125 miles a week can get extra weekly payments.
Those weekly payments are $5 for 125 to 174 miles, $10 for 175 to 224 miles, and $15 for 250 miles or more.
DoorDash says it's doing this as gas prices rise to around $4 a gallon.
